http://daphnecaruanagalizia.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Stalin-positive.jpg This image is showing that all of the children love Stalin, which makes him look good to the people. The overall message of the image is to show that Stalin cares about the best interest of the people and wants them to be happy. But, what was really happened is Stalin became a powerful dictator who allowed 20 million people to be killed under his rule and treated his people unfairly.
Translation: For the motherland, for Stalin, for world peace, for communism.
1) -Hammer and Sickle: the goals for the Soviet Union of Agriculture and Industrialization. -Voting Box: Democratic -A Well Dressed, looked up to, Man: to show a well mannered citizen doing his part, voting in The Soviet Union. 2) This image is trying to show that Stalin is the ideal image of communism because people would want to vote for ideas such as world peace and equality. 3) Voting doesn't really take place in a communist society after the leader is elected, the government controls everything. Therefore this depiction of a citizen voting is incorrect in a communist society.
This shows Stalin showing everyone Russia's advances. The image is wrong because it does no show the people Stalin killed and the millions of people that he starved.
In this image it shows children smiling and showing respect to Stalin with flowers around them. The words say "Thank you dear Stalin for the execution of our parents". The flowers are for the funeral of their parents. This is showing that Stalin is more important than the parents of the children.

It was fairly easy for him to do because he had full control over the newspaper while others in the crowd feared Stalin pretending to be happy. -Erin Rumberger
1. In this picture, Stalin is surrounded by happy, smiling people. The meaning is that Stalin is nice, fuzzy, and charismatic. 2. The overall message of the poster is that Stalin has good intentions and will make you happy. 3. In one of the articles that we read yesterday is says that Stalin was stone cold, had no charisma, and was definitively not nice. He also killed people.
The nickel is representing how the citizens money can help the country against the Germans. Their money is being used to go against the Germans. The poster is from the WWI time and it is a nicer way to get the people to pay the government rather than saying "we need your money to fight the war." Giving money to the government is not going to give your country the win in the war. It may help buy materials and things needed to fight the war but money can't buy you success.
http://www.homodiscens.com/home/quotes/stalin_propaganda.png This Propaganda poster shows that people are showing respect to Stalin and how he is above all of them. The message of this poster is to show respect to Stalin like everyone else does who is put below him in power. Stalin had made people believe he was trusting, he had imprisoned and had the innocent people tortured for the smallest mistakes/accidents being made.
1. Shows the army, Stalin, and maybe Lenin. The army means war with Stalin as their fierce leader, and Lenin shows that he is "guiding" Stalin to help.
2. Maybe WW1
3. This looks like during WW1 with Lenin and Stalin leading the revolution, the problem with this propaganda is that this revolution leads to more problems economically, politically, etc. and believed that this was going to help benefit their country.
