ReplyDeleteThis picture shows Stalin having his hand over a women and a young boy. This is suppose to show how he is willing to give a "helping hand" for the people of his country. While in reality he was a selfish man and destroy his people lives to fulfill his thirst for power.This piece of propaganda shows that he was a hypocrite and did exactly opposite on hat he promised.
1. In the picture Lenin is represented behind Stalin, this is a symbol because Lenin was already dead. Stalin wanted the people to realize that he was going to do things the way that Lenin wanted and that if they liked Lenin they should like him.

1. There is an image of a map that Stalin is looking at. It shows that he is in control of all of Russia. He is smoking a pipe to give off the father figure persona he is famous for.
2. The image of Stalin reading a map is shown in the propaganda poster. The idea that Stalin is in control is given off.

The overall message of the image is to show that Stalin cares about the best interest of the people and wants them to be happy. But, what was really happened is Stalin became a powerful dictator who allowed 20 million people to be killed under his rule and treated his people unfairly.

-A Well Dressed, looked up to, Man: to show a well mannered citizen doing his part, voting in The Soviet Union.
2) This image is trying to show that Stalin is the ideal image of communism because people would want to vote for ideas such as world peace and equality.
3) Voting doesn't really take place in a communist society after the leader is elected, the government controls everything. Therefore this depiction of a citizen voting is incorrect in a communist society.

In this image it shows children smiling and showing respect to Stalin with flowers around them. The words say "Thank you dear Stalin for the execution of our parents". The flowers are for the funeral of their parents. This is showing that Stalin is more important than the parents of the children.

3. In one of the articles that we read yesterday is says that Stalin was stone cold, had no charisma, and was definitively not nice. He also killed people.

ReplyDeleteThe nickel is representing how the citizens money can help the country against the Germans. Their money is being used to go against the Germans. The poster is from the WWI time and it is a nicer way to get the people to pay the government rather than saying "we need your money to fight the war." Giving money to the government is not going to give your country the win in the war. It may help buy materials and things needed to fight the war but money can't buy you success.

The message of this poster is to show respect to Stalin like everyone else does who is put below him in power.
Stalin had made people believe he was trusting, he had imprisoned and had the innocent people tortured for the smallest mistakes/accidents being made.
